WELCOME Youth and those who care about youth!
The Prairie Star District Youth (PSY) organization was a member of the Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU). Youth from over 60 Unitarian Universalist congregations in the north central U.S. Our purpose was to foster spiritual depth and create sacred community through teaching of and living by our Unitarian Universalist principles.
We recognized the value of communication and created networks that enhance open dialogs. A voice for the future. We exist to rock. Blessed Be |

Why do you participate in UU Youth activites? You can be what you are and how you want to be, and you are not judged. I’ve found a community where people feel safe, no matter what they say or do. Everyone is cool. It’s fun! I need a place with liberal thinkers and people of different opinions. We talk about important issues that no one wants to talk about at school. I like that at YRUU it is understood that you can trust each other. Not everyone has to think the same. |
YRUU groups are inclusive, caring and safe places where gay, lesbian, transgender, and bisexual youth feel welcomed and affirmed. We commit to work for justice in ways that are inclusive, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and multicultural. ![]() |
